Discover Indian Express Is Now Renamed To Amrith

If you're a fan of Indian cuisine and have frequented Indian Express, you’ll be excited to know that it has now undergone a transformation. Indian Express Is Now Renamed To Amrith, a rebranding that promises to elevate your dining experience with a more refined, yet equally authentic take on Indian flavors. Located at 38 A Race Course Rd, Singapore 218555, Amrith is set to captivate both loyal patrons and new visitors with its vibrant atmosphere and an upgraded menu that stays true to its roots.

Amrith isn't just about a name change - it’s an experience that celebrates the rich culinary traditions of India while infusing a modern twist. This restaurant has always been known for its robust flavors, but with the rebrand, the team has gone even further to enhance the dining environment. From a spacious interior designed to create a comfortable and welcoming ambiance to a menu that brings the best of Indian cuisine to your plate, Amrith ensures every visit is a memorable one.

The restaurant is nestled in a charming location in Singapore's Race Course Road, an area known for its vibrant food culture. Upon entering, you're greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that combines contemporary design with traditional Indian elements. Whether you're enjoying a casual meal with friends or a more formal family gathering, the setting is perfect for all occasions.

One of the standout features of Amrith is its wide variety of dishes that range from flavorful vegetarian options to tantalizing meat and seafood choices. For those who enjoy the classics, the restaurant offers dishes like butter chicken, paneer tikka, and biryani, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients that bring out the best in each dish. You’ll also find a mix of regional specialties from various parts of India, allowing you to explore a diverse array of flavors.

The revamped menu is carefully crafted to cater to a variety of tastes. For example, the chef's special curries, featuring rich spices and vibrant herbs, are perfect for those who enjoy bold and intense flavors. If you're in the mood for something lighter, their grilled meats, like tandoori chicken and seekh kebabs, are incredibly flavorful yet not too heavy. Vegetarians will find an abundant selection of dishes that highlight India’s vegetable-forward culinary traditions. The dal makhani, loaded with creamy textures and smoky notes, is a must-try, alongside the crispy dosas that are sure to impress.

But it’s not just the food that makes Amrith stand out. The restaurant’s service is exceptional. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and always willing to provide recommendations based on your preferences, making it an ideal place for both seasoned foodies and newcomers to Indian cuisine. They go the extra mile to ensure that every guest feels welcome and well cared for.

What makes Amrith truly remarkable is how it captures the essence of Indian food in a way that feels both familiar and new. The chefs here apply traditional cooking techniques, ensuring authenticity in every bite, but they also understand the importance of catering to modern tastes. This balance between tradition and innovation is what sets Amrith apart from other Indian restaurants in the area.

For anyone wondering about the restaurant's signature dishes, the biryani deserves special mention. Amrith's biryani is a fragrant, flavorful feast of basmati rice, tender meat, and aromatic spices, all cooked to perfection. Whether you prefer chicken, lamb, or vegetarian biryani, you’ll find each option generously spiced without being overwhelming.

While many diners may be familiar with the restaurant's former identity as Indian Express, Amrith’s rebrand marks a fresh chapter. It combines the best of both worlds-an established reputation for excellence and a refreshed menu and ambiance that promises to delight. This makes Amrith a place worth returning to time and time again, no matter how many visits you’ve already made to its predecessor.

Moreover, the location itself is incredibly accessible, whether you’re traveling from nearby neighborhoods or further afield in Singapore. Parking is available, and the surrounding area offers plenty of options for a casual stroll after a satisfying meal. The easy access and central location make it a fantastic spot for lunch or dinner, whether you're dining solo or with a group.

Amrith has certainly raised the bar for Indian dining in Singapore, and it's easy to see why. The combination of mouthwatering dishes, warm hospitality, and a chic atmosphere makes it the ideal destination for those who appreciate good food. So, if you're looking for an unforgettable Indian dining experience, be sure to visit Amrith, where every meal is a celebration of flavor.

  • Most authentic and flavourful North Indian food experience so far in Singapore… no extra spices, oil or colour… only fresh juicy mild aroma and taste Best part was that they served everything one by one, so that we could eat and enjoy at leisure and relish the sizzling hot dishes :)

  • Had a great lunch at this halal-certified restaurant. Highly recommended - Strong aircon which I appreciated on a hot afternoon - Pleasant scent/perfume - Nice furnishings and decor - Very attentive staff who checked on my needs multiple times - Garlic butter naan was fresh and fragrant - Butter chicken was rich and creamy while still retaining the flavour of tomatoes and spices. One of the best I've had. - Ordered extra biryani rice after realizing that one naan wasn't enough to eat with the chicken. Upon hearing that I didn't want too much, the kitchen gave me a small bowl of it on the house. Perfectly cooked. A bit plain, but the waiter explained that it was meant to be eaten with other dishes, which I understood.

  • Really loved this place! Food was amazing and the service was excellent. Will definitely come back! We had: chicken tikka, lamb shank biryani, palak paneer and garlic naan for food. Drinks: mango lassi (with real mango pulp not extract!!) and lime juice. Dessert: kulfi, carrot halwa and my favourite warm gulab jamun.

  • Fantastic dining experience at Indian Express! This is by song of India which many North Indian food lovers are familiar with. Indian express is newly open which offers a wide variety of North Indian cuisine served in quasi-fine dining setting with atrociously reasonable price! We feasted on a delicious array of North Indian dishes, each one more flavorful than the last. The tandoori prawns were succulent and smoky, while the masala tikka chicken and masala fish were rich and aromatic. The biryani was cooked to perfection, with each grain separate and flavorful. Garlic naan was crispy and indulgent, paired perfectly with the spicy kick of the fried chicken. And to wash it all down? A refreshing glass of draft beer, served ice-cold and fresh! Service was top-notch, attentive and knowledgeable. A pity we don’t have any more space to try the lamb but we will leave this for our next trip..Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu! And special mention to our wonderful host and bartender RAVI who was very charming, very attentive and assisted us in making all the right choices of dishes! And do let him surprise you with his concoction of cocktails to thrill your taste palate!

  • A really homely establishment serving delectable Indian dishes at affordable prices relative to other places. The paneer masala was rich and perfect with the Naan basket. The mutton biryani was rich and tender. Accompanied with the Malai chicken kebab, which was served on a sizzling hot plate that oozed rich flavours. Finally, the Gulab Jamun was rich and fragrant without exceedingly sweet. Topped with the Mango milkshake served with passion, the food was downed with great enjoyment. Come on down if you are in the vicinity, you won’t regret it.

  • Heard so many good things about the restaurant. And especially now that it is halal, it gets even better! Love the ambience cosy space, with soothing music. The food? It was fantabulous! My top personal fav is the smokin sizzling fish tikka served on hot stones plate, the bedazzling dum briyani, the naan bread that gets me and family so addicted to, the delectable bengali prawn curry, all perfectly cooked and served at their best to give you a unique and unforgettable experience of northern indian cuisine without burning a hole in your pocket. Simply the best!

  • We had a lamb craving and decided to try out Indian Express, and we were beyond satisfied! So much so we ordered three lamb dishes for the two of us, my favourite is the lamb shank biryani. The lamb was cooked to perfection and the briyani rice was fragrant and packed with various flavours of spices. Our waiter is the sweetest, he provided excellent service and comfortable. The atmosphere is more on the quieter, dim and quaint side, suitable for a romantic date!
